biography & sessions
John carried a passion for music from a very young age.
Initially starting out at about 9 years of age on piano which he studied to Grade 5.
John switched to guitar at 12 and hasn't looked back since.
John studied at the renowned Guitar Institute under the watchful eye of Alan Limbrick, Shaun Baxter and Ian Scott and after playing in various covers and originals bands, moved on to record and play as both a guitarist and occasional bass player for many years with Dave Markee who, as a top U.K session bassist, recorded and toured with artists as diverse as Faith Hill, Eric Clapton, Joan Armatrading, Roger Daltry and Henry Mancini.

Sessions
John has also played and recorded with other world class musicians and producers including Bryn Haworth (top U.K slide guitarist), Dan Cutrona (Bee Gees, Joe Cocker, Al Green), Henry Spinetti (George Harrison, Tina Turner) and Chip Bailey (Duke Special).
John has also appeared on live T.V broadcasts and been interviewed live for BBC London 94.9FM.
An ability to stay cool under pressure, as well as accomodate his clients ideas ensures that John delivers the perfect guitar part every time.
Remote recording sessions are the order of the day for many busy musicians and producers these days and John is able to provide you with guitar parts for any project.

Session Guitarist
John has a busy schedule as a session guitarist usually performing remote sessions for songwriters and producers.
Live Gigs
Currently performing as guitarist and lead/backing vocalist around the London and the South East with two very busy function bands.
Guitar Teacher & Arranger
John is the resident guitar tutor at City of London Freemen's School where he works two days a week as well as maintaining a very busy schedule of private guitar tuition in Croydon, South London. Check out the Guitar Lessons page for more details.
